Summary

I started off as a mechanical engineer and later gained experience in software and analysis through my work in thermal modeling, robotics, and software development of operations toolkits. Though my background is in STEM, I've long kept my interest in the arts and humanities. Data visualization has allowed me to combine my technical skills with my artistic interests. The following projects are a collection of my work in data visualization, software development, and analysis.

Experience

  • Maintained and enhanced Python tools supporting robotic downlink operations for the M2020 rover.
  • Maintained and executed Python-based regression testing scripts for the M2020 Rover Thermal Flight Software Module, identifying and reporting critical Flight Software bugs.
  • Developed a Python-based downlinking pipeline that reduced thermal downlink analysis time by 50%, significantly improving workflow efficiency.
  • Created comprehensive resources and a training roadmap for the M2020 thermal team, ensuring consistency and clarity in thermal engineering practices.
  • Built a Python-based analysis toolkit with unit Pytests for over 1,000+ sols of thermal data, delivering key insights for the Mars Sample Wheel Steering Actuators Extended Life Test Plan.
  • Uplinked sequences for drilling and rock collection in the search for biosignatures on Mars, including the Cheyeva Falls sample.
  • Designed Python scripts in ro_events and ro_trending to analyze and visualize drill bit exchange events and ACA exposure, enabling long-term degradation detection and sample exposure metrics for science teams.
  • Led development of a MATLAB/Tom Sawyer Software toolkit to visualize heat flow data, streamlining analysis for JPL thermal engineers.
  • Performed detailed thermal analysis and developed correlated thermal models for multiple missions, including: Europa Clipper Magnetometer; Mars Oxygen In-Situ Resource Utilization Experiment (MOXIE); Actuator Thermal Management Systems.
  • Conducted uncertainty analysis on ampacity temperature measurement sensitivity for the National Electrical Safety Code assessment project.
  • Designed, executed, and analyzed experiments on induced magnetic fields caused by thermal gradients.
